Hon Opeyemi Apatira, the Ojodu LCDA Ward A councillorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has encouraged Nigerian youths to stay positive and hopeful for a better Nigeria.
Hon Apatira made this known in a message sent to
newsmen as he joins fellow Nigerians in celebrating this year’s Democracy Day.
“This nation belongs to us and we have to make it
work. This is the time for us to stay strong and positive and as a youth, we
have to also contribute our quota to its development in our own little way, he
said.
He further noted that the only democratic way to
change a government is through the ballot and admonishes all Nigerian youths to
be politically active. “Merely making noise on social media may not make any
reasonable change, he retorted.
Apatira in his words said “I want to implore every
youth like me to shun violence, stay positive, have a positive mind as a
Nigerian. We should quit believing that this nation will never be good and that
will give us the drive to make things work out well.
He also advised all Nigerians to come out en masse
and vote for the candidates of their choices in the forthcoming local
government elections in Lagos.
