Again, the Erinmo of Ijesha in Osun state came alive on Sunday, June 6 2021 when the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesha, His Royal Majesty Oba Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya hosted the biological father of the current Ooni of Ife, HIM, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi the Baba Oba of Ile Ife.
A Special Thanksgiving Service to mark the end of the Ijesa North Diocese Synod hosted by St Peters Anglican Church Erinmo held where Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi was honoured by the Ijesa North Anglican diocese with a special award.
Several traditional rulers and dignitaries were also present to felicitate with the Elerinmo and the Baba Oba of Ile Ife.
History has it that a former Ooni of Ife, Obalufon Alayemore founded Erinmo Ijesha many centuries ago; hence, the intimacy between the Elerinmo and the Ooni of Ife.
St Peter's Anglican Church which was the first Church established in Erinmo around 1908 during the reign of the Oba Arowotawaya the 1st the Great Great Grand Father of the current Elerinmo of Erinmo Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II recently hosted the Synod of the entire Ijesa North diocese comprising of almost 60 churches (the first during his reign) between Friday 4th June and Sunday 6th June 2021 in Erinmo.
