Just when Lagos Social Scene thought they have seen it all with many Covid19 deaths, the shocking news of one of Lagos successful event planners, Moji Suleiman popped up. The beautiful brain behind “Dekeys Events, one of the big celebrity event planners and decorators took a bow after given birth to twins.
Late Moji wasn’t just into event planning, she was a Decorator and Venue
Stylist and was also into the coordination of big Lagos parties. She handled many
top events like Folashade Boncath birthday, Bisola Munis Dad’s Burial, Otunba
Dapo Alli Balogun’s son's wedding to mention a few.
Many happening babes love to associate with her and when she gave birth to
her new set of twins, many prayed for such favour knowing how much she waited
for over 7 years before she gave birth to her first child. While the birth of
her firstborn was over 2 years, GOD visited her again with 2 bundles of joy.
Many of her friends and families were happy. She was filled with joy so also
was her darling husband and best friend, Mr Sulaiman. Moji was said to have had
an exclusive naming which had the who is who in Lagos present to felicitate
with her. And just when the joy of Motherhood was about to set in, she breathed
her last.
It was revealed that Moji died a week after her twins got named. Many who
were filled with joy when the news of her new babies arrived haven’t even had
enough time to wish her a happy birthday. It was a moment of sorrow for many as the
news of her death spread like wildfire. A visit to Dekey Event page shows that
she just celebrated her birthday on April 9 and many ‘A’-list celebrities
wished her happy birthday. She wrote on her page that “#Repost
@dekey_events: Happy +1 to me daughter of the most high God. Filled with so
much gratitude for his unfailing love for me. What a privilege it is to be
alive and well...God is indeed awesome and consistent in his ways. He makes my
world so colourful and shows me his love daily...cheers to my new chapter for
his grace leads the way. #thankful”. And only a few days later, some of them were
back on the page to wish her rest in peace.
This has thrown many celebrities into mourning especially when her burial
arrangement was announced. Moji Suleiman was born 9th of April, 1983 while she
breathed her last 27th, April, 2021. A service of songs was held for her at
Chapel of Living, Idi Arabia while she was committed to mother earth on Friday
4th of May, in Lagos.
