58 Hearty Cheers As Finecoat CEO, Apostle Remi Awode Celebrates Birthday In Style



Every September 7 is always special at Chemstar Group of companies, the makers of Finecoat paints for one important reason, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Apostle Dr Aderemi Emmanuel Awode celebrates his birthday on this date.

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Dr Awode held his 58th birthday celebration inside the Chemstar Industries facility and it was remarkable indeed as family, friends, loved ones, Chemstar staffers, distributors and business partners all gathered to celebrate this great business icon and remarkable chemist.

The event started with a prayer session. It was organized by the members of staff before invited guests started trooping-in in their numbers.

The prayer session was anchored by one of the company’s Executive Director, Dr Tunde Olaniya, while the Group Managing Director, Pastor Adedayo Paseda took the charge.

Let’s also be the first to inform you that the Finecoat brand which is now a force to be reckoned with in the paints industry started in a room apartment in Lagos about 26 years ago.

According to Dr Awode, the company now has over 1000 direct staffers while the indirect staff are even more.

There was plenty of food and drinks while the Chemstar Groups Choir did so well with spirit-lifting renditions to thank God for 58 years of faithfulness.

Apostle Dr Remi Awode is not just a businessman; he is also a man of God with a great impact on his generation. He is the founder and an Apostle of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, Divine Blessing Cathedral, Lagos.

Dr Awode is a graduate of Chemistry from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. As a creative and talented chemist with a peculiar passion for paints, Awode has worked extensively locally and internationally in the areas of building paints, industrial coatings, marine coatings, automotive paints, and wood finishes.

He demonstrated his outstanding performance while he was Senior Chemist at International Paints for West Africa (IPWA.) Awode has contributed immensely to the meaningful development of the Real Sector of the Nigerian economy, having developed problem-solving paints and allied products, in addition to gainful employment to large staff numbers. 

He is widely travelled and married with children.
