Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has wished all Lagosians and Nigerians at large a happy democracy day celebration.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu took to his Twitter handle to greet Nigerians on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
He wrote:
I want to wish all Lagosians and Nigerians as a whole, a Happy #DemocracyDay.
June 12 is a reminder to us of the importance of freedom, the unity of our Nation, as well as the need to continue to strengthen our democratic resilience.
Democracy Day marks the celebration of an end to military rule in Nigeria and the beginning of uninterrupted democratic rule since 1999.
