LASRERA BOSS, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka Clocks 55 In Style

The Special Adviser to Gov. Sanwo-Olu on Housing, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka will be forever grateful to God as she clocks 55 in style.


She currently heads the Lagos State Real Estate Agency, LASRERA; the agency that oversees the smooth running of real estate businesses as well as housing issues in Lagos.


Born on June 12 1967, Mrs Benson-Awoyinka who has had a stellar performance in the housing sector is looking all good to go as she graciously contributes her quota to the development of Lagos via corporate governance.


In her few years in office, Mrs Awoyinka has brought sanity to the real estate business in Lagos. As a matter of fact, she has proven that the sector can do much better with the right structure in place.


Benson-Awoyinka is an advocate of good governance, women and children emancipation as well as quality grassroots participation in politics.


She has mentored and still mentoring a couple of grassroots politicians in her constituency and many of the youths in Ikeja have seen her as a leader worthy of emulation.

Her agency, LASRERA has since flooded social media with birthday wishes and felicitations and she has also been celebrated by the Distinguished Ladies In Politics; an NGO that supports ladies in politics.

She is a multiple award winner for the way she is running LASRERA in Lagos.


About Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka


Mrs. Adetoke Benson-Awoyinka, a Legal Practitioner is grounded in different areas of the Law profession ranging from Insurance Law including Underwriting policies, Risk and Claims Management. She also possesses expertise in Litigation, Probate and Land matters.


The dynamic leader had her education at Marywood Grammar School, Ebute-Metta and the Lagos State University (LASU). She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws at LASU and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990.


She started her career at Standard Insurers where she learnt the ropes in Insurance Law, and moved to full-time legal practice and litigation with Yemi Peters & Co and then to B.O Benson Law Office working with the best hands in Probate and Land matters.


Let's also remind you that she further challenged herself by forging partnerships with Gbenga Afolabi Benson & Co, Lenox and Blair Estates, venturing into Oil and Gas Law and Consultancy.


She worked variously at Sprint United – a Telecommunication Company in the United States as a Lawyer and Technical Consultant; Head of Corporate Strategy and Policy implementation at Dvyn Inc. also in the United States.

 

On her return to Nigeria, armed with a wealth of experience in policy making and implementation, she was part of the team that crafted the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) seeking Pillars of development for Western Nigeria that fits into the peculiarities as a region.


Her vibrancy and concern for the greater development of Nigeria influenced her diverse and political engagements over the years and brings with her, years of experience in Law, Business Solutions Management and Corporate Governance.
