The Victoria Island axis was busy on Saturday, August 6th 2022 when foremost billionaire, General Theophilus Danjuma threw a lavish and classy 70th birthday soirée for his wife, lady of style, Senator Daisy Danjuma. The beautiful birthday witnessed a high influx of individuals, from state Governors, and celebrities, to Corporate titans and Military Chiefs in society. It was one party that shook the whole of Victoria Island due to how influential and supportive Daisy Danjuma and her husband are. People from different walks of life came to celebrate the glorious life of the ‘birthday girl' who is ageing very gracefully. The party also served as a payback time for friends because of her goodwill. The classy shindig was held at the prestigious Eko Hotel convention centre, Victoria Island.

EKO HOTEL WAS BEAUTIFULLY TRANSFORMED
To host any event at Eko Hotel and Suites sure tells you the class and status of the personality involved. This was what wowed many guests as they made their entry into the beautifully lit hall which accommodated many important guests. From the aisle which displayed the pictorial voyage of the celebrant with family and friends, to the hall, to every table which was tagged in different numbers, it was a colourful ambience all through. No decoration was needed as the hall is beautiful enough and it is only the tables and chairs that had a touch of décor and chandelier lights to go with it. All the aisle red carpet was customized and paparazzi took their turns to take beautiful shots of all guests as they made their way into the venue. Eko hotel was responsible for all the 3-course dinner meals and they also served exotic drinks like champagnes and cognacs to go with. Who did all this beautiful decor? It was no other than Naija’s number 1 florist, Uche Majekodunmi of the Newton and Davids brand.
A PEEP INTO DAISY DANJUMA’S LIFE
Senator Daisy Ehanire Danjuma, the amiable wife of the foremost general, TY Danjuma turned 70 and she never looked it. She opted for a simple but very expensive French tulle dress in ivory colour and paired it up with her usual diamond chandelier earrings and rings. Married to Gen TY Danjuma for over 20 years, they both had a daughter together called Saraya. She is a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with over 35 years of post-call experience. She began her career as a State Counsel in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice (Department of Public Prosecutions) and was a pioneer Legal Counsel to the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria before working for the investment bank Nigerian Acceptances Ltd. (NAL). She spent the next decade as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before moving into private practice. She is a former Chairman of SAPETRO. In 2003 she was elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where she served on numerous committees, most notably as Chairman of the ECOWAS Parliament’s Women and Children’s Rights Committee and Senate Committee Chairman on Women Affairs and Youth Development. Senator Danjuma is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the International Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA).

Gen TY Danjuma rarely throws parties but when it comes to his delectable wife, he drops everything and gives her the best that she wants. Gen TY Danjuma is known to always dote on Sen Daisy Danjuma and never joke with her.
