Chief Adewale Adesina & his pretty wife, Temitope Ashabi were among the couples who were honoured recently by the Agura of Gbagura in Abeokuta. For those who don't know Chief Adewale Adesina is the popular Abeokuta socialite and businessman also called Wale Saranda. He is the Chairman of Western Quarry. He was born May 20 1964 in Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State to the Adesina’s Family, who hailed from Alagbede Compound in Totoro Abeokuta.
He started his education at African Church Primary School, Ayetoro, Yewa and later proceeded to Baptist High School, Ilaro. While there, he was the Social Prefect Boy of the School, he represented the school in Literary and debates competitions. At Baptist High School, Adewale was exceptionally popular for his football prowess and styles. He inherited the name “SARANDA” from his Principal while at Baptist High School. The young and unassuming Adewale, having graduated from Baptist High School in flying colours, decided to find a career path in FOOTBALL. He was shortlisted by notable football clubs for trial, ABIOLA BABES and ICC SHOOTING STARS.
The young and struggling Adewale on many days would have to walk many miles to get to the training ground, he would sometimes be assisted by the Egbado South Local Government to attend training. Adewale later proceeded to the University of Lagos where he studied English DP. His decision to study English at the University of Lagos is not unconnected with his love for literature and the arts. He graduated with Distinction from the Department of English.
Adewale began his professional life as a Clearing Agent at the airport in Lagos, he subjected himself to the art of service, learning the rudiment of life as an unassuming young man building an enviable future. He later joined DIZENGOFF, where he met quite a number of great colleagues, amassed the foundational knowledge of business and sole proprietorship. From DIZENGOFF, Adewale worked at Colobar stores in Idumota, Lagos as a sales and marketing representation. As life would get better for the young Adewale, his boss while at DIZENGOFF, was already in the United States. He contacted Adewale, requesting him to be in charge of the sales of used cars he would be sending into Nigeria from the United States.
Adewale, having earned the trust of his former boss, took the offer and started the sales of cars on the street at Surulere and Mobolaji Bank Anthony Road, in Ikeja. With the surge in request and business growth, Adewale Adesina registered his first company, DEMAX Automobile Limited to expand the everyday business demand and expansion.
He started Western Wheels Nigeria Limited to accommodate the numerous demands of his fast-growing car business empire. While looking at the exponential growth of his business empire, Chief Adewale Adesina launched a new company, Western Quarry Nigeria Limited which remains one of his many successful business colonies. The company has roused from ranks and files to become a giant in the industry. They were the major supplier of granite and other construction materials for the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. Western Quarry got a major breakthrough when PW Nigeria Limited contracted the company as the sole contractor for the supplies of materials for all the roads undertaken by the company in Ogun and Lagos States, the 110km Ilara-Ilase road to mention but few. With the nourishing reputation with PW CONSTRUCTION, Western Group under the chairmanship of Chief Adewale was recommended to HITECH construction by PW constructions. In the spirit of diversification and business expansion, Western Quarry diversified, birthed Western Properties Limited to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people. Western properties undertook mall}construction projects in the Omole Phase I estate and Ikeja GRA, to mention but few. He is also the Chairman of “EASY JET TRANSPORT” (Luxury Buses), which is expected to kick off operations by the first quarter of next year.
Chief Adewale Adesina a.k.a. Saranda is a man of many paths, he belongs to many social groups and clubs, making rounds in the social cycles of the bigwigs in society. The Chairman of Western Wheels Nigeria Limited, Western Quarry, Western Properties, EasyJet Transport and many more, Chief Adewale Adesina known as SARANDA in the social cycle has had the greatest honour to be the highest recipient of chieftaincy titles in the Yewa extraction of Ogun State, he has also been bestowed with titles by many other kingdoms, chiefly among them are Babaloja of Yewababalaje of Ilaroadele Oba of Iwoyetayese of Itoriajiroba Of Joga Orilebaba Oba of Aga Olowooluomo of Ayetoro. The Ogun State-born business mogul is happily married to a Princess of the Awujale of the Ijebu dynasty, Her Highness, Princess Temitope Asabi Adesina, popularly called Erelu Ashabi Adesina. She is the Yeyemesho of Yewaland, a title conferred on her by the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle. The marriage is blessed with children, who are all doing well in their respective areas of life.

His pretty wife, Temitope Asabi Adesina was also made Yeye Apagunpote of Gbaguraland. She is a very beautiful and stylish woman who was born on the 3rd of May 1973 into the late Chief Ayodele Falowo’s dynasty. Her mum was from the reputable royal Awujale’s family in Ijebu Ode. She Attended the Anglican Girls Grammar School Ijebu Ode from 1984-1990. She proceeded into the then Ogun State Polytechnic now know as Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where she studied Business Administration at the OND level and HND level from 1993-1997.
She has served with various prestigious companies like Total Nigeria Plc, Deobel Nigeria Limited and so on. She is a business Oriented woman and she has partaken in various aspects of life such as Fashion, Constructions, Automomobiles, e.t.c. She is presently managing the Western Quarry Nig. Ltd with her influential husband Chief Adewale Adesina (Saranda). Babalaje of Ilaro and Babaloja of Yewaland.
Yeye Asabi Adesina has many notable titles bestowed upon her by the virtue of her husband philanthropic gesture in the society, some of which are; The Yeye Mesho of Yewaland, Yeye Taiyese of Itoriland, Iya Oba of Aga Olowo. Yeye Oluomo of Iwoyeland, Yeye Okanlomo of Aiyetoro Yewaland, Yeye Bashorun of the Eselu Kingdom and many others.
She has travelled far and wide and is a globe trotter. Her travel experience in the business world is vast, having visited various first-class world business exhibitions and symposiums like the United Kingdom, Paris, Canada, Dubai, Germany, Belgium, Holland to mention but a few. Yeye Asabi is not only a business tycoon but also a fashionista at large.
